St Andrew's After School

Connecting Home to School, and Children to the Great Outdoors

A free program of St. Andrew's Episcopal Church, Belleville Rd, NB

Come to St Andrew's parish house, Wednesday afternoons from 3:30 to 5:30.  Bring your homework and do it with the support and help of teacher Jeff Michals-Brown, as well as your friends and classmates!  When the work is done, practice outdoor skills of your choice: learn to use map and compass and GPS, how to tie knots, how to do first aid, how to identify plants and animals, and how to find stars and constellations in the night sky.  Kids will get the chance to try out their skills on a few nearby and optional Saturday field trips.

If you are interested, return the stub below to Mr. Rumberger, or  call Jeff Michals-Brown at 508-580-9855.  Meetings begin on Wednesday, November 9.  We'll see you there!

Dear Parent or Guardian,

As a teacher and parent, I have seen first-hand how hard it can be to keep up with homework.  I also believe too many kids spend too much time indoors, and risk growing up disconnected from our awesome natural world.  Therefore I am helping

St. Andrew's Episcopal Church run a free program with two main objectives:

1. to connect kids' teachers to their parents, form good homework habits, and help children achieve in school.  2. to Instill in kids an appreciation for the natural world, and show them that outdoors is a world of fun, adventure, and wonder.                      Jeff Michals-Brown
